Greystones Glamping - Tent 1

Everything was absolutely perfect. The tent and decking was fabulous and the toilet and shower was fabulous too and so close to town and the breakfast was delicious

My daughter was wishing there was a kettle as she drinks flavoured tea that doesn't need milk , but other than that it was great all round.

Beautiful clean yurts, very private. There is a deal on the parking if you are camping here, I’d recommend availing of it. The location is fab, you have the private tranquil setting of where the yurts are situated but then in contrast have all the amenities of staying in Greystones itself. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. I’d recommend trying some of the food trucks located beside the glamping. I had the nicest burrito in my life there. There are beaches and a promenade for walking. I’d recommend bringing a cooler for any drinks you might want to have in the yurt.

During daylight hours the site was clean, close to dining and sauna and had a nice deck and fluffy duvets.

It was a sunny day and the inside of the tent heats quickly and is pretty stuffy as they are placed in an open area with full sun. At night - the noise from all the bars was very loud as it was just beyond a fence and every hour or so a train would roar by as the tent site is right next to train tracks. Note: I see that noted in the description now, I don't believe it was there when I booked in May. The Glamping site is a nice idea in a poor location. My tent was double booked, leaving me without an actual place to sleep until around 10pm and I was forced to share a bathroom with other guest. I had booked my August reservation in May. The first solution to the double booking was to tell me to take tent 5. So I did, but on return from a swim was informed that it actually reserved by another. While the host blamed booking.com for the mix up, and scrambled to find a solution, I was left in a state uncertainty until 10pm. It culminated when the full bed I reserved was nearly replaced with a twin-sized air mattress and an actual bed was only provided after I reminded the host that I was promised a proper bed in the replacement tent. The replacement tent was new out of the package and smelled like it. Overnight was colder and the promised "complete with heaters and electric blankets to keep you snug and warm..." were not provided. My purpose in going there was to take a sunrise swim in the morning. I was able to do that. However due to the shared bathroom situation and the fact that the bathrooms are poorly ventilated, I wasn't comfortable taking a warm shower, as I didn't want the bathroom to be gross, humid and sticky for the other guests who would have needed in the morning. As a result I spent about 2 hours shivering under the blankets in a cold tent.
