Quiet location,

Had to stand in the bath to get a shower, instead of a walk in shower. No cooker .

There was not clean and lots dust.

Our previous booking was cancelled at the last minute, so this was very much a panic booking. However, I think the lodge was a much better fit for us, lovely location, I can't believe how close to Port Talbot this tranquil spot was. Convenient for the motorway, but far enough away to feel like you were in the middle of the countryside. The facilities were as expected, and met our requirements. We wish we had had time to pop into the bar, but we're visiting family in Swansea, so it didn't happen. I would definitely book here again.

Peaceful location.

Poorly maintained doors & fittings. No kettle even. YHA quality beds adequate. Other places friends stayed in the area were much nicer for lower cost.

Unfortunately the lodge was not very clean with cobwebs everywhere, carpets in the bedroom hadn't been hoovered, and the toilet wasn't very clean. We had to ask for toilet roll when we arrived as there wasn't any. The shower door didn't close properly and the shower couldn't be angled so just shot water above your head. The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. There were no plates at all in the kitchen, the bowls were crazy small and only had teaspoons, no proper spoons. Just very disappointing for what we'd paid when the basics weren't done. The whole place just felt neglected.

It said a shower facility was available but it didnt, one toilet roll provided for 2 days with 6 people, no towels were provided, it smelt, really outdated, toilet is so close to the wall.

No fan to keep you cooler in the bedrooms
