2BR Cottage with Hot Tub

Nice property and amazing host!

It’s such a comfy place, which I love the most for the little vacation that I had

It just took a long time to get the pass, that was the only inconvenience

We booked for the hot tub and tho confirming it would be ready, the day of when we were on our way, they let us know it wasn’t working. Tho it was plugged in and on when we got there. They insisted it wasn’t working tho so we didn’t use it during our stay. The house was clean and neat.

The property charges you 50 dollars after you pay for your stay on booking. They will text and tell you you have to pay 50 dollars to get in to the community. The form you fill out isn’t under the same name as listed on the booking so I thought it was a scam. I had to pay an additional 75 dollar late fee bc we filled it out the day before we were supposed to check in. And the late fees and property charge isn’t listed in the details while your booking your stay. Just odd. When we arrived the house was set at 56 degrees. And the house didn’t really warm up much. The hot tub was unavailable during our stay.

We stayed in a mountain cabin with a group of four people. We really liked the area — it was quiet and beautiful, and we had a great time and were able to relax. Communication with the host was good and responsive. We also appreciated having board games available, which was a nice bonus.

The listing stated that the house had 3 bedrooms, but there were only 2 upon arrival. The weather was cold, and the temperature inside the cabin was low (60°F), as well as in the hot tub — the water was only 71°F, so we had to wait until the next morning for it to reach a comfortable temperature. Additionally, the kitchen sink was leaking, the internet connection was very weak, and we were unable to get the fireplace to work.

We didn’t like that we had to pay a $50 fee when it wasn’t stated on Booking.com. One of our cars wasn’t allowed in when we paid for it to be. So we had to make multiple trips to bring our stuff in and out, and the visit center had the most miserable workers. Hot water went out on Saturday before we went out so no one could shower, and lastly it was listed as a 3 bedroom and only is a 2 bedroom. I’m not sure if this is a new Airbnb or not, but a lot of unnecessary money was spent, and we won’t be going back to a gated community anymore. Cute house overall, just a lot of issues all weekend. Host is very nice.

It was very cozy. The provided everything we needed even things we didn’t know we needed . Quiet neighborhood and secluded . We woke up a few times to deer roaming outside which was great since we’re coming from the big city of New York and don’t see that. They had a hot tub . We didn’t use it because we didn’t have time too but I’ll definitely be coming back. Thanks Scott and bespoke!
