NZNZSuch a special spot in the world. We loved the rustic feel and peaceful atmosphere of the campground. The hosts were super nice too, great hospitality.
That I missed the best surf they have seen in ages by one day hahaha.
ATUrsula and Steve were great hosts! The views of Elliot Bay and the surroundings were amazing and we would love to come back in the future!
NZCabin had EVERYTHING we would need and more. Spare blankets, games, books and a well equipped kitchen. Friendly staff told us where the best spots for nearby swimming and exploring were. Kids also had an epic / safe play space in front of the cabin for cricket and football with other kids they met at the campground.
Bugs in the evening but that was no fault of the property of course we were in nature in the summer... bring bug repellant (there was spray in the cabin too)
NZThe location is so beautiful, Steve and Ursula are so nice, the beach, the hill top walk, the sunset (and stargazing). It is paradise ✨️
CAWe loved the remoteness of the property. Lots of wild beaches to explore and some great walks right outside your front door. We were fortunate to have visited at a quiet time and the hosts offered to upgrade us from the one-room cabin to the house at the top of the hill. The views were spectacular and the home comfortable and well -appointed. Falling asleep to the surf and waking to birdsong was magical!

NZGreat little cabin with all amenities needed to cook. Very comfortable and warm. Located in a very quiet and beautiful bay with plenty to explore in the area. Puzzles and games available for use kept us entertained even in the wet weather. Camp management were very welcoming and accomodating. Will definitely be coming back to explore more of the area!
The roading nearby is prone to slips and flooding after heavy rain so you could get trapped in the event of a storm
