Their service and how clean the environment was

Everything is amazing 👏 in short pay for a room but I have a big kitchen and a good living room comprised in the price. Hilde is like a sister for me, and I can't wait to be back to Namibia to greet her again. They really made me feel like in a big family house. I highly suggest you to stay there.

I booked for a single room with own bathroom but reaching there I had to share a bathroom since the room i booked for was given away. Which I didn't like because the shared bathroom wasn't clean at all

✅ What I Liked: The owner was truly lovely — kind, respectful, and always checked in to make sure I was doing okay. Honestly, her communication was the highlight of the whole stay. The environment was quiet and peaceful, perfect for my study leave while writing mid-year exams. No noise, no rowdy guests, just calm. The en-suite bathroom was great to have. Clean and convenient — I genuinely appreciated having my own bathroom space. The room itself was cool and comfortable, which helped, especially since the fan didn’t work (more on that below).

❌ What I Didn’t Like: The place is marketed as a “one-bedroom apartment”, but it’s really just a room in a shared house. I was expecting a private, self-contained unit — not communal living with a caretaker and random others. False advertising? You decide. The kitchen was shared, packed with other people’s food, and I had to ask for fridge space. Also, some of my food disappeared. A mini-fridge in each room would solve this problem. On Day 2, the electricity ran out. I had to remind the caretaker twice before anything happened. Eventually, I messaged the owner to get it sorted. Not exactly guesthouse service — more like “nagging your cousin to buy units.” The geyser situation was just... no. I was asked what time I wanted to bathe so the geyser could be switched on. During winter. The result? Lukewarm showers. This kind of energy-saving is fine in a family home — not in paid accommodation. Only one towel was given for almost four days. When the room was cleaned, the towel disappeared and was never replaced. I don’t know if I was supposed to perform a ceremony or request a new one, but I had my own as backup (thank goodness). The bathroom light fused, and I had to use my phone’s flashlight to see. Not a major issue, but it added to the “DIY survival” theme of the stay. There was no air-conditioning or balcony, despite being listed. A fan was provided, but it didn’t work. Luckily, the room was cold enough without it, but that doesn’t excuse listing amenities that don’t exist. The caretaker hovered quite a bit. Lovely person, but the presence felt a bit too constant. A little training in respecting guest boundaries would go a long way. The property needs proper signage. Finding it on arrival felt like a scavenger hunt.

Did not have breakfast. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Very spacious bedroom. Kitchen has many appliances. Plenty of seating in lounge. Was glad to get a phone call just as we were looking for the right place.

No towels were provided, only 2 small handtowels in the bathroom, one of which was very dirty. Would have liked a top sheet, not just a duvet. A name, erf number outside would have helped to find it, or a photo or description with the booking confirmation. Was not sure what to do with the pin code that was sent. Touch up maintenance of walls, finishings needed.

There were no towels in the room. There was no hot water in the bathroom and was unable to shower as we had to leave early in the morning.
