La Selva Eco-Lodge & Retreat

My stay at La Selva Lodge was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed by the staff, who were attentive and made sure every detail was perfect. The lodge itself is stunning—set right in the heart of the Amazon, with spacious, comfortable rooms that beautifully combine luxury and nature. The guided excursions were a highlight of my experience. The naturalist guides were extremely knowledgeable and passionate, helping me spot incredible wildlife and understand the rainforest in a deeper way. Each activity—from canoe rides at sunrise to night walks—was thoughtfully planned and truly memorable. The food throughout my stay was exceptional: fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. After each day of adventure, I loved relaxing on the deck, listening to the sounds of the forest, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, my stay at La Selva Lodge was the perfect balance of comfort, adventure, and authentic Amazon experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime journey into the rainforest.

The doors on the deck remained open all night, hard to get a restful sleep

The location, the experience and the staff were all tremendous. This is a bucket list trip to be in the middle of the amazon, and La Selva ensured that trip was one to remember. A lovely and recently renovated lodge, with wonderful staff who make you feel right at home - in a prime location in the middle of the Amazon off the Napo river. Dont think twice - book this place!

For such a pricey option, La Selva can comp soft drinks and coffees, these should be included - understood for alcholic beverages. Finally, they could pay slight attention to making the experience that much better - after a walk and hike up the observation deck, they could offer a sundowner. I am a birder so I did not mind, but those who are less interested should be given a drink to enjoy while the rest search for birds.
