The host was very hospitable.

Nothing. Everything was ok. The host just needs to mount the property number (address) at the gate, because guests will find it difficult locate the property, even after navigation. Overall, this is reasonable low budget accomodation. Dont expect anything fancy, but they have all the basics.

"Way too dodgy I left as soon as I could."

1.0

There simply is nothing to like! To start with no house number, no doorbell. The outside of the property looks like a non-inviting building site, there is rubble everywhere. Drove past it 4 times because I couldn’t believe this was it. No way I was staying, so I hit the road hard and quick.

The overall unreal, dodgy and insecure gut feeling. The area looks dodgy, the owner (or at least I presume he was) was friendly, but his looks and clothing weren’t helping the insecure gut feeling. Once he got the key to open the padlock on the inside of the gate, the driveway or better a combination of a building rubble site and a car junkyard was revealed. 2 of the cars inside clearly have been there for a while, flat tyres and weeds growing underneath and around… The room looked ok inside, despite the asbestos roof sheets, but all the rest, was like a scene from a ghetto movie. After a quick look inside and talk with the in worn black jogging pants dressed man (owner?) I decided this was certainly not a place where I would feel secure to rest for the night. How a property like this can be listed on a serious booking platform is a mystery.
