Dirty hall ways. Uncomfortable sofa. Difficult to heat. Poor quality sink and wardrobe fittings. Very low shower pressure

It was spacious modern and appeared clean

I booked this flat last minute and was glad it was available at a good price, but was surprised to be asked for a hold on my card by way of a 300 returnable deposit. with no chance to discuss it, as I was already en route. The flat was modern, clean and spacious, but there were several issues: no dustpan and brush, a broken hoover (which I reported but got no response), very limited kitchenware (no can opener or chopping board , no way to cook a lasagne), and even silverfish on the wall. One day, the electricity cut out ( ran out of credit on the meter )completely. I was on crutches and was asked to rectify it - but couldn’t access the switch, so had to wait for help. This made me miss a hair appointment where I had paid a deposit £20 and order takeaway, which I later asked to be refunded (£17), but they refused, saying it wasn’t their policy. The property manager also questioned me about high electricity usage, which felt intrusive and inappropriate. I stay in Manchester often and had hoped to find a reliable place, but I wouldn’t return here. It looks nice on the surface, but small things added up and made the stay stressful. Booking.com have reached out to them as they are not compliant
