Red Sheds Cabin 'Herons Den'

It was very clean and the scenery was beautiful. It was just the right size for the two of us. I’d say this would be amazing on a sunny day as there are plenty spaces to sit down outside and relax. It’s very peaceful and we would definitely stay again.

The only small suggestion is that it would be nice to have milk in the fridge for tea in the morning.

So charming & cosy. In the middle of the nature. Birds singing. Really good barbecue area. Highly recommend.

Fantastiskt hus som ligger ovanpå en damm. Mycket charmigt inrett och stor altan med grill o stolar etc. Vädret passade inte denna gång för sitta där för oss.

Sängarna på Irland är ju oftast inte 180 cm breda och denna var kanske inte ens 160 cm. men bekväm ändå.

We had a fantastic stay. The cabin is cosy, well‑priced, and set in beautifully quiet surroundings, yet still close to town. Waking up to the sounds of nature was such a treat. The cabin was spotless, warm, and well equipped with WiFi, a Nespresso machine, ect, and secure parking. Explored the nearby Derryounce Lakes & Walkways and the River Barrow Walk — both stunning spots for peaceful strolls and taking in the scenery. The location is ideal if you want nature on your doorstep while still being close to Portlaoise and Portarlington. We’ll definitely be back.
