For us the location was perfect, and the price would have been fair for a well-kept property. The location was quiet, although students were mostly away for Christmas. Uplands is well supplied by shops and bars.

The front garden had rubbish strewn around it. The front door was flimsy so not filling us with confidence for a secure place. To reach the top floor flat we had to pass through a dirty, poorly kept common stairwell with discarded cardboard boxes and other items on the landings. The flat itself was very poorly cleaned, we had to wash all the utensils and kitchen surfaces on arrival, they were greasy. A chair had an unhealthy looking stain. The floors were in dire need of a vacuum. The bedroom was very small, meaning that we could only get in or out of one side of the bed. The floor of the bathroom was dirty, and the shower thermostat was broken, with only one very hot temperature the result. There was a smell of smoking in the living room, though hard to tell if that came from a previous occupant, or one of the other flats. We arrived very late immediately before Christmas, so didn't contact the property managers as there wouldn't have been opportunity to resolve the issues over the holiday.

The flat is finished to a high standard and is light and airy, and stylishly decorated. Proximity to the uplands is amazing. Nice quiet neighbourhood

Couldn't get the shower to work at a reasonable temperature - just very very hot

Well decorated modern clean and well equipped very close to all the amenities

It was comfortable and clean and a good distance from beach and city centre . Both walkable in 30 mins.

Large windows. Light and airy. Nice big shower. Good ironing facilities. Contact with management was fast and helpful.

Hallway to the apartment wasn’t as high quality as the apartment itself.

Was very clean and pretty

Location was a little off putting but didn’t detract from the stay at all :)
