Casa Beard, Spacious Guest House with High Speed WiFi & Pool.

We loved the outdoor pool and gardens, simply amazing! The hostess Martha lives on site but gives you privacy for the outdoor area. There is a lovely peacock that lives in the yard and we really enjoyed his visits. Having bikes was a bonus. Martha was an excellent hostess and very accommodating and friendly. She also speaks English which was very helpful for us. Drinking water is supplied, more bonus points for that!

Not dislikes but useful information is that there is no oven, we would have appreciated a toaster oven or air fryer if we were to stay longer and kitchen supplies are modest but we made it work so not a problem for us. The location was a bit of a challenge but the bikes made a huge difference for us to get around and they supply locks. A car would be no problem at all as Playacar is a bit remote from downtown but beautiful and secure. Martha also supplies taxi contacts so that definitely helps.

Martha was an amazing host. The location is as in the pictures, a true paradise hidden from the city's chaos. The pool is great and the house big and comfortable. Total value for money, perfect choice if you want to relax, but also be able to enjoy playa del Carmen if needed. Playacar is very safe, guarded, and we had bikes to move around and to the center. Final gem of the pool is a beautiful peacock roaming around.

Loved the sturdy build of the house, and it felt connected to nature.Secure car parking.Bicycle to ride to city centre(even though we didn't use it). Swimming pool was cleaned up, ready for us.Friendly host Martha, who is quick to respond.

Nothing, really . Although it's a private pool, it is overlooking the hosts property and your 1bed room property.

I was by myself and felt very safe here with the gated community and security and overall niceness of the neighborhood. Martha was wonderful in making sure I had everything I needed and was very responsive to questions I had. I used the bicycle which was great for getting to the dive shop and into town for dinner, a great location for my needs. II loved floating in the pool and enjoying the patio area. I would definatley come here again if I'm back in Playa del Carmen.

I liked everything, constant contact with Gary, a beautiful caring hostess Martha, super safe, classic interior thought out to the smallest detail, internet, paid SKY programs, air conditioning, there is absolutely everything you need, even bicycles, a large perfectly clean pool and a private little part of the jungle, where you can see different birds and even a handsome peacock that often sits on the roof of the garage. We hope to return more than once

So quiet and peaceful. Spacious yet cozy. Perfect location for us. We felt at home here Communication was excellent.

It was all very good. There was nothing we didn’t like.

Everything. The host was so friendly and accommodating. Everything you need is provided and the property was spotless. The pool was amazing. The WiFi was great. Plenty of towels, bedding and extras. I would highly recommend.

I spent 5 wonderful nights at Casa Beard. It's my first time traveling alone to another country and I couldn't have imagined a better place to start my journey. Martha and Garry always had an open ear for me and took a lot of time to give me advice and good recommendations. So I was able to get to know Playa del Carmen from the start from the perspective of a local, which is much nicer than visiting the classic tourist hotspots.
