Vicenza Centro Apt Nobile - 2 minuti dal centro

This was a horrible place to stay at. My partner and I booked the apartment for 3 days because we had to be in Italy for work. The photos make it look large and comfortable which we wanted since we had long days of working. It is large, but it is the most uncomfortable, unrelaxing place I’ve ever stayed in. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but left after the first night. We asked for a refund for the two nights we didn’t stay there but the owners of the property are more interested in ripping people off than providing a decent place to stay and giving people a reasonable standard of service.

Neither myself nor my partner had any sleep because the beds, particularly the bed in the second, slightly smaller bedroom was horrible. We had to work the next day feeling like zombies. This was the cheapest, flimsiest bed base and mattress I have ever had the displeasure of sleeping on. There was a huge bump in the middle of the bed and on either side of this bump you would just cave in. The pillows were awful and the duvets were old and unwashed. This is disgusting to treat paying guests, or any guests this way. How cheap do the owners have to be? The photos and description are a complete misrepresentation of what being in this apartment is actually like. This apartment is not exactly cheap to stay in and they could provide beds with even a basic ikea mattress? It felt like the bed mattress hadn’t been changed since before WWII. My dog sleeps on a more comfortable bed than what the owners of this apartment provide here. There was also no airflow whatsoever in the flat (even with windows open), no bins in places like a bathroom, where it could be useful, and just a general atmosphere of “we will rip you off as much as possible and not make any kind of basic investment so that your stay can be reasonably comfortable.” There was also a bird who made a nest on the windowsill of one of the bedrooms’ windows, with several freshly laid eggs in it. I couldn’t open the window because the eggs would have smashed on the ground below. Clearly cleaning and airing the place out from time to time is not that thorough. How long would that window have had to stay closed for, for a bird to have made it her nest? After the first night we politely explained to the owners that we would like to leave, because of the above reasons. We were patient and polite about this and asked if they would refund us.
