Ideal for the 4 of us. The kids loved the space, quirky & really well put together with modern features & nicely furnished. Heating was very good & responsive.

"Perfect location in a great property."

8.0

Loved the property location & good sized car parking facility, driving a Ranger is never easy to get in one space normally & this property has two allocated spaces (albeit another car was parked in the second space the entire time we were there). The property was bright and airy and lovely and clean, with fresh crisp bedding.

The property is quirky and completely open plan, thankfully it was just my mum and I staying so not an issue but if we had gone in couples it wouldn’t have been suitable as you can hear from one bedroom to another with there being no doors for privacy. The top floor bedroom was lovely and spacious with en-suite toilet and sink, again super. Could have done with a full length mirror like the other bedroom. The middle floor bedroom was more subject to the low ceiling and couldn’t get round one side of the bed. The bath in the en-suite, in my opinion, isn’t safe to use. Getting in and out without catching yourself on the tap is a mission; as I experienced & have the bruise to prove it. (Yes I filled the bath from boiling the kettle several times!) I understand why it’s been put in the way it has but I think a sink and toilet with a bit more space would have sufficed. Unfortunately there was an issue and the boiler wasn’t working so for hot water in the sink/bath we had to boil the kettle. Thankfully electric shower was all good and Tom had supplied electric heaters ahead of our arrival, which was appreciated, although we found the property warm regardless. Wine glasses would be a good addition, a couple of dish cloths so we could wipe down the cooker and worktops rather than a sponge and some extra tea towels. An ironing board and iron would be a good idea too.

"we loved it - highly recommend"

10.0

Fab location central Bakewell. 2 off-road safe parking spots!!! (a must in this town). Warm, cosy, clean, comfy beds, really nice bathrooms, nicely decorated, big comfy sofa, massive tele - a treat to watch a movie on, private and quiet at night, good facilities in the kitchen - it was really lovely place to stay and owner Tom fabulously responsive to a minor issue we had.

We didn't mind it as we are family but just incase you haven't spotted on the photos there are no doors on the bedrooms. Its still very private due to the lovely layout but might be an issue some people want to consider.
