Stay @ The Old Bank, Burton on Trent

Very comfortable, warm and well appointed apartment. Convenient for the town centre and railway station. Would definitely book again.

Nice there was a hairdryer, but a mirror in the bedroom would be useful. Kitchen was great, but we had to buy some washing up liquid. We were prepared for the security deposit as it had been mentioned in the comments, but might have come as a surprise if I'd not seen it there. It was however returned promptly after our stay.

It's was a lovely space and comfortable

I really didn't feel the stairs were safe with the big open backs of the steps, slippy grips in the rain. Low hand rails and opening a outward door and steps back down immediately inside in low light but all fabric of the building that can't be helped, it's characterful and I am just generally not good with heights anyway haha high security deposit made me very nervous to touch anything, car park description could have been clearer and signs for other companies up making you unsure your in the right place

Paid booking.com all the money then to be told has to make another payment of £150 deposit to the host

Absolutely superb, hosts very understanding, helpful and friendly, very clean and tidy, faultless, would definitely recommend a stay here!

Style, layout, location, value for money and would most definitely stay again.

It isn’t a ‘didn’t like’ more a suggestion, a blind or curtain over the door window and a mattress topper when the 2 beds are joined and perhaps lower the TV height, but we were extremely happy with the apartment, thank you 🤩

I have already complained and feel a full refund is required. I had to vacate property after a night due to feels unsafe - description on Booking.com was inaccurate - therefore missold as doesn’t mention entrance is through a car park up a metal staircase. Drug use outside of door is also not acceptable

The apartment was quite big and has a lot of potential. Once you add your own stuff it becomes a lot more homely and comfortable. There was only a window in the bedroom and living room in the apartment we stayed in but it didn't really matter so much as the lighting is very good throughout the apartment. We don't have a heated clothes horse at home so it felt like a luxury to use it and the iron included was nice. The whole place was clean and inviting when we got there and overall very tidy. A good place to stay for any amount of time, was enjoyable. I am hoping to come back again.

Communication with the staff was tough, a cleaner came into our bedroom while we were sleeping as the stay&co staff did not notify us they would even be there. It took days for messages to be answered, they offered for the towels to be changed after the first time but never actually came back. The wifi did kind of collapse at the end of my stay (about day 3-ish) and it would have been tough to manage if i didn't have an unlimited data plan.
