TVA Homestay - TVA Sleepbox - TVA Working Space

The receptionist was very nice and friendly. I just wish such an amazing man could find a decent boss to work for. Apart from that, I don't see any positive sides to this hostel.

1. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep. I had the private room (they only have one): the window overlooked the reception area. I could hear all the conversation and music coming from there. 2. The rules of the hostel says they have quiet time starting from 10 p.m., and "disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated". The first night, a guest kep playing music ater 10 p.m. I went downstairs and asked him to abide by the "quiet time" rule. He said he would, but the music restarted immediately after I went back. (There is no-one at reception after 9 p.m. and the whole night.) The second night, same story. In the morning talked to the receptionist about this rowdy guest. He said he would talk to the manager. The next day, I asked him what the receptionist replied, and he said: "He didn't say anything". I then asked to text the receptionist myself and ask him why he dared not reply anything. Guess what? He didn't reply anything meaningful to me either. Tried to evade the question. Given the shameless manager, I don't think anyone should support this hostel. 3. The bathroom was humid at all times. The bathroom door to the room would always close, so the moist would hardly escape. The fact that their no shower cubicle and you shower onto the floor of the bathroom doesn't make things any better. 4. The AC would switch off evey 8 minutes or so. The receptionist gave me a pin for pressing "Reset", but each time, it would only work for 8 minutes. 5. People smoke in the reception area, and the receptionist allows them. The smoke would get into my room. 6. The name of the place says it is a "Working Space". I have booked this place as I work on my laptop. But there is none of that. There is no workspace. If you mean that the workspace is the reception area, refer to my explanations above about what it is actually like. 7. There is a kitchen, but it was impossible to use:.

We just got at the property expecting the room we booked (deluxe, double room, ac, private bathroom) but they gave us the poorest room I’ve ever had in our entire trip. Was only two pieces of mattress on the floor and one fan in front of them. They said someone got here first and took the room so we should stay there and tomorrow with lucky they will swap over the rooms again giving us the one that we agreed for. We just took our luggage’s and are heading to another accommodation. Disappointed!

They could try to explain it to us and it would be fine, but they just took us to another room and just informed us that our room was not available only when I asked them. Disrespectful with me and to my partner!

I liked the hostel, comfortable and clean. Not too far from places to see in Phnom Penh. Amazing staff.

Staff was incredibly kind, sleep box is spacious has everything you need. Breakfast was so good to have in the morning.
