Lovely penthouse in Fuengirola Old Town Ref 166

Large top floor balcony and location

-We were surprised to find that the apartment does not have a freezer, which we had expected to be available. -The sliding balcony door is in very poor condition, to the point that it cannot be opened with one hand. -There was a persistent sewage odour coming from the shower drain. -The fuse board tripped repeatedly whenever multiple appliances were switched on, which caused a great deal of inconvenience. -The vacuum cleaner emitted a very unpleasant smell when used. -We were not informed that the air conditioning unit’s bucket required emptying. Unfortunately, this only came to our attention when the neighbours complained about water leaking onto their balcony. -The outdoor furniture was extremely dirty and not in a suitable condition to sit on.

Rengøring var ikke i top, terrassen var ikke særlig ren. Aircondition i stuen var istykker og der gik et par dage før det var løst. Kloakken i badeværelset var stoppet og vandet kunne ikke rigtig rende væk! Der var ingen parasol på terrassen (som vist på billederne) Parasollen blev leveret efter at vi flere gange har efterspurgt en parasol fordi man næsten ikke kunne være på terrassen pga. solen.

Excellent location. Super Terrace. Nice and quiet location. Beautiful views to the mountains. nice shower. Good bbq. Big living room. Beds were hard but ok. We prefer softer mattresses but we slept well anyway! V good air con in all rooms. Well equipped kitchen. Close to a good local supermarket, fruiterer and bread shop. The Costa Rental people were very helpful despite the owners reluctance to provide a freezer.

It needs a large parasol on the balcony. It also does not have a freezer which is very strange. Be aware there’s no lift so you’ll keep fit walking up to top floor !

Rooftop sun area was just magnificent - full sun all day long - fully furnished with chairs, table and sun-lounger and also an outdoor sofa. Very comfortable beds and more than adequate wardrobe space. Living room/kitchen fully equipped and was spacious and very comfortable.

Could have done with some more of the basic toiletries: Washing machine pods, Dishwasher pods and Shampoo, soaps, cleaning spray, etc. There were some items available on arrival - but not nearly enough.

Double bedroom SHOULD BE REPAIRED ASAP THE CEILING NEEDS REPAIRING TO STOP PLASTER FALLING ONTO THE BED

Great location for the beach, restaurants and shops. Huge terrace with great views over the town and mountains and with plenty of shade, which is useful in the peak seasons.

Whilst there were 4 flights of stairs and no lift, it was not too bad was this was reflected in the lower price for what was a large modern apartment, in an excellent location. If the stairs are not any issue, then you will struggle to get this level of accommodation in such a good location at this price.

The wonderful location. The quiet and quaint street. The proximity to everything - beach, shops, bakery. Easy walking distance to everything you could possibly need. Sitting on the terrace in early morning breeze, and again at night. Beautiful. Fully air conditioned. Comfortable seating. Well equipped kitchen.

I would have liked a parasol on the terrace. There was a stand but the umberella was missing. This would have allowed more use of the terrace at all times of the day. Some insight into the electrics would help future guests. The power 'cut out' if more than a couple of appliances were in operation. The bedroom with the double bed is very small, with little space to manoeuvre. Although fine for my family, access could potentially be difficult for families with very small children, buggies etc. There are over 60 steps to get to the apartment, which was challenging in the summer heat.
