The hot water system might not suit for a big family group. It can only serves max 3 people with quick shower then have to wait another 2-3 hours for the water reheat. If you are a family group have people more than 3, and want to take a nice shower after a day trip, that would be an issue. Even it is a large house with good space, I don’t think it suit for a large group people.

We liked that it was tucked away down a long driveway. It was one of our cheapest accommodations in the South Island but definitely the biggest and most modern. The owner set out firm boundaries that were fair and easy to follow. I liked the instructions on how to use things and managed to catch up on our washing between the washer, dryer, clothes horse and outside line. My husband LOVED the tv and sound system. Our room had an ensuite which was a nice treat and having 3 toilets for our family of 6 was life changing. There was ice cold water in the fridge waiting for us :)

We needed to use the trundle bed which didn't have any sheets on it and we couldn't find anything in the house to cover the mattress protector so one of our sons slept on some spare blankets from the other beds. Unfortunately the hot water cylinder was leaking and had soaked through to one of the rooms and made it impossible to walk through the hallway without getting wet feet. I messaged the owner who said it was getting replaced, it didn't bother me too much but it would have been nice for us to have been notified before we arrived so I didn't have to stress about contacting the owner to let them know. As it's a two story house and summer, upstairs was uncomfortably hot 🔥 and we couldn't find a way to cool it down. The lock box that holds the keys was tricky to open after putting in the code. The location of the home is ok but certainly feels a bit far out from the city as it takes a long time to get anywhere in Christchurch.

Fantastic value for money! Sunny is an exceptional communicator who does everything to ensure you are happy and comfortable, and is open to how to improve the accommodation. Great house, spotlessly clean, plenty of room for a family of 5 adults, wonderful to have an ensuite in the master bedroom. Small, sunny garden to sit in and dry washing in. Convenient to lots of other things given we had a car. Smart TV worked really well, as did all appliances. I booked this place at short notice and we were even offered a later checkout. Would highly recommend!

We had minimal dishwasher tablets which was tricky with 5 of us. Additional basic cooking utensils would help at-home cooking as would another tea towel or two. The property could offer face washers and also top sheets on the beds.

How big the rooms were and the the space! It was amazing overall as the house was huge! And the parking was great, the house is equipped with everything so you don’t have to worry about anything.

The driveway is a little hard to find so maybe something that shows clearly where the driveway is.

The house was bigger than we expected and in excellent condition. Too bad we only stayed for one night, could’ve comfortably stayed for longer.
