Stylish Comfort: 2BR Home in the Heart of Wigan

The only thing good about the property was that it was close to visit family on our trip over from Cyprus.

Everything…. It was in the roughest neighbourhood with music blasting out and dog poo all outside the property. The bathroom was dirty and grubby and had lots of problems like toilet paper stuffed in the light in the shower. The toilet is about 60 years old and doesn’t flush. The shower hardly ever comes on and when it does it is scalding hot then freezing cold. The bathroom had leaked and caused water damage in the kitchen (which they knew about) but they never informed us as we wouldn’t have stayed there. The bed linen had dirty brown stains on it so I had to buy a duvet cover. The hair dryer had a continental plug so I couldn’t use it again I had to buy a hairdryer. There’s only one sofa in the lounge so it’s only fit for two people although it’s advertised as for four. I could go on with more problems but in my opinion I would definitely stay away from this property. I have been waiting a week for the owners to reimburse me but they’ve only offered 10% which is nowhere near enough for the stress it caused my husband and I.

The house has clearly been updated recently and a lot of care has been put in to finishing touches and making the house seem homely. It had everything we needed as a family of 4 for the weekend.

Collecting the keys took a little while as we had trouble locating the key safe. We called the letting agent but they were little help. After about 30 mins we were in and all was well.
