Easy access to everything and short distance walk

Parking was across the street a shared lot with other building, dishwasher and stove didn’t work. From desk lady was a bit rude just sitting there to look pretty. Only one working elevator that was slow. Ceiling is cement. EVERY single door has a Camera in there.

Windows were stuck open when we arrived and required maintenance to get them closed. Plus many things were broken or in very poor condition, and it took quite a bit of follow up with building management to get them corrected. A number of kitchen basics were scratched & rusty or completely missing but did get replaced upon request. The broken dishwasher, however, never did get fixed. Mattresses were thin and uncomfortable, and one bedframe was completely broken but eventually repaired. Front door security was often unmanned and seemed very lax. And we experienced a lot of late-night noise, rowdiness, and even fights coming from other guest suites. Would not stay here again.

Do not rent! Although the apartment was comfortable and well-located, the company’s conduct is not proper. I transferred an extra $200 deposit via Zelle to the company as requested. On the same day as my checkout, they informed me that everything was fine with the apartment inspection and asked for my Zelle to return the money. I had to spend days asking for the refund, and they kept saying they had no estimated time to return it. In short, they only returned my money when I said I would contact Booking. Another issue is that the parking, which we paid for separately to the property, does not close its gates at night. Even though we received a remote control upon arrival to open/close the gate, we never used it because every night the main gate remained open. We tried to close it with the remote, but the gate wouldn’t close.

The management company of this property, Slumber Stay LLC, is tedious to deal with. After making the reservation on Booking.com they message me to ask for a $200 security deposit paid via Zelle bank transfer or credit card with a 3% fee. I only received this money back after asking for it. We opted to pay in advance for indoor parking. We retrieved the garage opener from a lock box as per instructions, and it wasn’t working. We had to drive to Walgreens to get a new battery for it. I could have done without this inconvenience after a long drive with a toddler in the car. I let Slumber Stays know about the garage opener not working, they did not apologize but just thanked me for letting them know. The apartment itself is fine, however, the sofa was broken so you could only sit on one end of it. When we arrived, the AC was blasting at 58 degrees, not ideal given it was 30 degrees outside.
