The location was excellent - close to the center and interesting neighbourhoods. Hands-free check-in worked very well. There was water, coffee, milk, and some snacks provided. That was great as we didn't have to go out right away to buy groceries. The house was clean and during our stay we had cleaning service. The host made arrangements with us for when this would happen. The house was spacious, modern and comfortable. There were some funky decorative items and art that added to the ambiance. Air conditioning worked well and was necessary in the third floor bedroom. The hosts were attentive in dealing with issues (ie. toilet that didn't work) and responsive to questions such as good restaurants and grocery shopping. The beds were VERY comfortable and the linens top notch. There are two very nice third level terraces for sitting and enjoying the view. The street that the house is located on is gated, so there is no traffic right in front of the house. The temperature was very warm during the day then cooled off significantly when the sun went down. It's important to keep that in mind when traveling to Oaxaca. Bring clothes for warm and colder weather. We made arrangements to leave our bags at a hotel that is associated with this property.

The third level bedroom was very noisy. The bedroom is higher than surrounding buildings and it not fully closed off so there was quite a lot of street noise. There were some maintenance issues that need to be taken care of - loose faucets and fumigation (tiny ants converged on any food products that were left out). This does happen in Mexico..... It would be helpful to have instructions for the use of some of the appliances.
