beautiful location but further from the beach than expected. There was some ambiguity about whether breakfast was included or not - it wasn't clear enough on the site and the staff were unsure. So we missed out on the first day.

there wasn't enough privacy between the rooms. The access to the pool was directly in front of our room so we had to keep our curtains shut to avoid being seen! However, the rooms themselves were very gererous and comfortable

The Villa offers luxurious facilities in a very tranquil setting. Ideal place to get away from the hustle bustle of the city. Highly recommended for couple looking to spend quality time together. Planning to visit again in October.

We spent 5 unforgettable days. The Atulya Villas Lake View are even more beautiful than in the photos. Great airy architecture and the location is breathtaking. Surrounded by greenery with the most beautiful sunsets. From the great pool you could watch birds, monkeys, flying foxes, monitor lizards and chipmunks. The rooms and bathrooms are large and also offer a beautiful view. Chef Kavinda's food was a big highlight every morning and evening. Everything was very fresh and varied and tasted amazing to us all. The staff with Upatissa, Ruwan and Sampath, Amarasena are extremely friendly and welcoming and we, especially also our son, have made friends here. Upatissa has also a big knowledge about the nature and the area. We will be back.

We booked this accommodation at very short notice. We were delighted with the choice. One of the best we’ve made in a month in Lanka. We had a lot of fun. The first impression of the view over the lake was stunning. An evening boat trip was a bonus and great antidote to a day in busy Colombo. The comfortable rooms are tastefully decorated, the pool and garden are tranquil and well kept. A lot of care has been taken to make guests welcome. It’s very good value. The food was wonderful and the service friendly and efficient -everything was excellent.

The WiFi was flaky but it is quite rural so to expected?

Everything about this place was amazing! Large rooms and bathrooms with unbeatable views on the lagoon and the jungle, great decor and cleanliness, down to the delicious fragrances of the toiletries everything was top notch at Atulya Lake View. We enjoyed the pool immersed in nature and the breathtaking show of the bats flying over the lagoon at sunset, and especially the peace and quiet of the resort just five minutes away from the vibrant Mirissa Beach. Dinner was abundant and one of the most delicious we tasted in Sri Lanka. The best thing was the staff though: Vimukhti and the rest of the team did an amazing job at taking care of us always with a smile on their faces, we will never forget them and the great memories they helped us create!

Beautiful place surrounded by lush greenery and a sparkling lake which is part of the lagoon.Amazing view at 6.20pm of the Bats parade,as they fly out in search of food,from far end of the lagoon towards the land over the lake!A wonderful feeling that makes you a part of nature.Unforgettable place not to mention the excellent meals prepared by Chef Kavinda.A big Thank you to Manager Upatissa and his team for making my stay truly remarkable.Will never forget the caring and efficient service provided by Vimukthi.Truly a wonderful stay and I will certainly come back to experience the serenity of this wonderful place!

The villa is a beautiful piece of art. The views are amazing and the gardens are immaculate. Food and service were top notch. The staff were super attentive and flexible. The villa is off a main road but the gardens / foliage do a surprisingly good job at blocking out most of the traffic noise. The villa is fitted with solar panels which I appreciated for the sake of the environment!

Perhaps heat in the pool would be a nice touch.

We are a small family with kids, aged 5-7 and this place really worked well for us. We loved the location - the lake is tranquil and peaceful and incredibly quiet. It was an easy 5 minute tuk tuk ride to get to Mirissa beach to swim/enjoy the activities around there. We thoroughly enjoyed that after a day at the beach, we could then come home at the end of the day to a tranquil space with an incredible infinity pool and have a chef-prepared meal. The menu is incredible and varied, we would absolutely recommend trying it out, anytime of day really. The highlights are the Sri Lankan rice and curry, cutlets for snacks, lime juice and lobster dinner, served family style. Additionally, there is good wifi and breakfast is complimentary.
