Ocean Pearl Hermanus - 5 Bedrooms

Ocean Pearl was a treasure for our BIG family. Our kids from JHB, Germany and Australia got together. It is a real gem in one of Hermanus's most beautiful neighbourhoods. We have had the most wonderful stay! This home is just perfect! The moment we walked in we felt at home. The furnishings and decor are pristine and SO BEAUTIFUL! It looks like stepping into a magazine! We hardly wanted to leave during our stay and we were more than a little sad to have to go home. Everything about the stay was flawless. The instructions and communication prior to arrival were complete and clear. The property was clean, stocked with basic necessities and the location is better than what is in the listing description. Views are tremendous. Love love love! If we could give this rental more than 5 stars we would. We can’t wait to come back!

From start to finish, Louise was attentive and communicative. The home itself is expertly decorated, warm - and inviting. We needed space for 10 people, and the Ocean Pearl was beautifully designed to meet all our needs. The kitchen truly is the heart of this home, and leading out to the patio with the indoor fireplace, it made for long evenings fireside with wine 🍷 we loved every moment!

Some of the guests found the bed a little hard, but overall the stay met every need.

Everything! Location , layout , cleanliness! Louise is an absolutely fantastic host. Little things I didn’t even think to bring like cling wrap to bug spray was all provided for ! We received a beautiful welcome basket which was filled with delicious wine and goodies.

Fabulous location for enjoying the amazing cliff walks that stretch for miles from just around the corner. There are many benches to read the heartfelt dedications and stop for a while to enjoy the beautiful views. On a warm sunny evening, a bench with a glass of wine and the sunset is another delightful option. Ocean Pearl would be the ideal venue for whale watching during the season. We were out of season but saw plenty of wildlife including birds, dassies and a few fur seals on the rocks. The sea views are absolutely outstanding from this walk and very good for the soul. Loved the large dining area with windows all round which enabled a feeling of being outside and hearing the waves whilst staying warm inside with a glass of red. Louise is a great host and the property was beautifully presented with some of her own artwork and lovely flowers, including some georgeous roses that with top ups of water lasted throughout our long stay. She also provided a very thoughtful welcome package, including some bread, pate and wine that gave us space for an afternoon nap after a long flight without having to rush out and shop immediately .

The location is absolutely perfect! The house is beautifully decorated with ample space! On arrival Louis laid out a platter and bottel of wine for us!

The house is a stone’s throw away from the cliff walk. Couple beaches are also within walking distance. Apparently it is lastly renovated. Everything is brand new. We really got everything we needed during our stay. We had enjoyed so much the double kitchens, the braai area upstairs, the table tennis and the wet suits. This was really a perfect getaway. The house is also full of peronal touches and arts from the owner. We love them. Will definitely come back again.
