La casa di Carmela - Amalfi Coast

The staff is very friendly, the apartment is clean and has a beautiful view.

The only drawback is the stairs, there are a lot of them to get to the accommodation and this should definitely be emphasized because it is extremely difficult to carry suitcases.

The property had a beautiful outlook over Atrani through the French doors and out onto the small balcony. Every convenience was included for our stay. We made good use of the washing machine, clothesline and clothes horse after 2 weeks of prior travels. The kitchen had everything we need to make ourselves basic meals. The beds were comfortable and the rooms airy. There was air conditioning in both bedrooms and the downstairs kitchen area. An additional toilet in the laundry was appreciated. The contact person at the rental agency was friendly and efficient with any questions we had. They also were able to arrange transfers to Naples and Salerno for us. We liked the serenity of Atrani which was markedly different than the craziness of Amalfi which was an easy 10 minute, well lit, walk through the pedestrian tunnel. Atrani had a number of nice restaurants and small shops selling fruit, gelato and other ‘milk bar’ items. It has its own public beach so you did not need to go to Amalfi to eat or swim.

It wasn’t a problem for us but there were a few (approx. 183 stairs) to get from Atrani piazza to the apartment. (There was no elevator to the apartment. ) We found it got easier every time we walked home and it was definitely worth it for the amazing view when enjoying our breakfast or evening drinks!

Beautiful, spacious and well equipped apartment, very clean and comfortable, great view from the balcony to the sea.

You have to climb some stairs to get to the property, so that might be a problem for some people

Great location and close to Amalfi for boat excursions.

It’s important to understand this property prefers all check ins to be concluded before 7pm. Late checkins incur additional cost.

This apartment has everything you need. Very clean. Amzing views. Ylenia was so helpful and even helped carry our bags up to the apartment. If you want to visit Atrani this is the place to stay!

La casa di Carmela is a very sweet place to stay in Atrani. The view from the window is simply stunning, we just loved it sipping a glass of local wine. In the house there is everything you need, we particularly liked the bedroom furniture where there is a different view of the town. We met a young lady at the arrival who was very helpful and kind. We recommend La casa di Carmela as great alternative to the busy Amalfi, which by the way is only 6 minutes walking.

a very pleasant, authentic house with a beautiful view from the window and a good atmosphere, a very quiet and cozy place. there is everything you need. Very friendly staff. We will be glad to return here again!
