Mowgli's Cafe Hampi & Guest House

It was a last minute plan on my end to travel to Hampi, and Mowgli's Cafe was bookend 8 hours before I started for Hampi from Hyderabad during Dushera festival. Initially, I was skeptical how the property would turn out, but a quick call/chat with Pavan (owner) and a few whatsapp photos confirmed that the property was IDENTICAL to what was claimed on booking. Furthermore, the host (Pavan) handled us very courteously and in general the entire length of the stay was warm, welcome and reassuring. The property is SAFE and located strategically close to the Hospet Highway and Anegundi, this stretch is gives an amazing driving experience and the cottage's location behind the boulder mountains overlooking the paddy fields is breathtaking. The restaurant staff has GREAT culinary skills and are doing a great job with their recipes. We tried different food each day, the PIZZA options are great alongside the breakfast. Also, the evening ambience is complete with amazing non-veg food options especially the BULLET Chicken. I would RECOMMEND this as a great place for friends and family.

The WiFi for the last row of cottages needs to be relocated for better signal strength and coverage. It would be great for WFH tourists who would like to work while holidaying such as me.

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable room with good fan, the staff were super helpful too. The best part is the restaurant/cafe, the food is honestly amazing and the staff were great :) exceeded my expectations!

Breakfast was quite good. A few more options of south indian breakfast can be added.

The air conditioning was available only for rooms given to foreigners. Our rooms were basic and there's plenty of scope for improvement in housekeeping, bathroom kits, storage facilities, few hangers, tea/coffee kettle.

The location next to the rice farming landscape & hills. & The food was awesome.

Good atmosphere and nice staff . Comfortable place for a family stay, no polluted air , no traffic jam . You can enjoy your privacy

Bit far from hampi sites . Transport is bit difficult if you don't have a vehicle
