Water Bird's Resort & Yala Safari

It's my second time visiting Sri Lanka. This time I chose the Tissamaharama area for my trip. Among the resorts in this area, 'waterbird resort & Yala safari' is a very good place to stay. Located near a large lake, you can see various birds. Another special feature of this place is that they gave me the Yala Safari and Bundala Safari at a special price. It is a very clean resort and the staff here is also very friendly. This resort is worthy of my highest recommendation to other tourists like myself.

This location offers an incredibly peaceful atmosphere that truly helps clear my mind. The stunning balcony view of the lake is simply breathtaking. Our rooms were very comfortable.The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Envision a room filled with possibilities, featuring a double bed and two single beds ready to welcome rest and connection. The lavatory offers ample space and exceptional comfort.They went above and beyond by arranging transportation from Hiriketiya to the hotel and organizing an unforgettable full-day safari at Yala. It was mesmerizing! We were thrilled to encounter elephants and leopards up close. We had an incredible experience seeing a bear up close! It was such a joy to witness that moment.We were keen to see everything but our favourite was the leopard. We saw a few of them ! Including a cub and his mother playing for hours like cats. We could have stayed forever watching them. The safari was very special. I can't say enough good about Safari, which has this unique touch of taking care of you like you were the first and only one and is being owned and operated by passionate people. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a remarkable getaway!

I came across this hotel by chance and after I booked the hotel I spoke to the hotel manager Dinesh where he arranged a car for me from Mirissa to Yala at a very reasonable price. Not only that, we were welcomed very warmly when we arrived at the hotel. That night we were very comfortable and slept comfortably in the hotel in a very quiet and beautiful environment. Next morning Dinesh had arranged a safari for us in the Yala Sanctuary at a very reasonable price. It was a amazing experience. We met the Leopard 3 times. In addition, we met an elephant, a bear, and many other animals. Not only that, the space and facilities in this hotel, the quiet environment and the lake brought very pleasant thoughts to the hotel as well as to our minds. We could hear the sounds of many birds. Moreover, all the food and the safari jeeps, as well as all the taxi services are provided at very reasonable prices, just like this hotel, so we have nothing to regret again. Owner is very friendly and if want non a/c he also have another place by his brother just few door step away. The room is big and spacious. Large balcony. Powerful aircon. Welcome drink is good Big parking place. Safe. The wifi is good. The lake tour is very informative and good learning about crocodile and bats and owl. It a good chance to go for it

Very good hotel ,clean big rooms and friendly staff. The hotel provide very comfortable transport from airport.Also hotel arrange full day safari in yala and even I saw leopard ! I recommend this hotel!

Amazing location, tour was organised by dinesh who was very good tadi driver and very economical he gave is local prices for evrything. Without him it would noy be such a great experience.

The property is well clean and neat, under maintaining and nice sunset view front of the lake.. Birds and squirrels everywhere! Very close to nature. And especially thanks to amazing airport pick and drop service. That was a superb experience and the driver also smoothly and safely drive.

The villa offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Spent one night here and thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil setting. A wonderful choice for anyone visiting Tissamaharama. Highly recommend!
