Setolive by 4S STAY

Compared with the hotels we've stayed in, this was very roomy with two comfy bean bags to sit in when not relaxing. The futons were very comfortable and the coffee/breakfast shop downstairs was perfect for our needs. The location is 5 minutes walk from the lively bars and shopping precincts of Takamatsu. Ritsurin-koen is 2kms away, but that's very walkable.

Non human check in. We had no problems but good luck if you lose your phone.

NOISE: Noise!! Very noisey fan going all night, we were unable to stop it, it came from upstairs. So loud that even at 1am we were still awake. Then a loud woman came back to her room and was shouting on the phone and stomping around upstairs. I emailed the hotel multiple times and did not get a response until the morning. NO STAFF: There are no staff onsite unfortunately to check up on these kind of things, which is a real downside you need to be aware of before booking. LATE CHECK IN, EARLY CHECK OUT: Check in is late at 4pm and check out is early (10am), so we thought value for money for 1 night is poor. Especially if you can't sleep ! Noise is a real issue here, so if you want to sleep.... I would recommend against booking this place... you really are at the mercy of your neighbours. If they leave a fan on and shout all night... nobody is there to help. I requested a refund and have received no reply so am now pursuing this with booking.com

This accom is self check in, not too far from the train station, perfect for one night stay

Plastic cultery

Stayed here for 1 night in a Japanese room with private bathroom. Room was a good size with comfortable futon. The room did get some Road noise but it didn't impact us at all. Checkin was done via an iPad and we saw no staff. Hotel was clean and well located.
