"Charming, authentic location and abode."

Very charming property in a small, authentic village in the Alentejo, with cork trees all around. The area is within a short drive or hike to Roman era ruins and a lovely oak covered countryside. Sunset views from the patio were beautiful as were the locals with whom we tried our best to converse with in Portuguese! The cats in town were very skittish, however, even though I brought them treats!

The area is an hour or so away from the Algarve and the heart of beaches, shopping, etc. We needed to visit these areas for future housing needs so that was not very convenient and included toll roads. But there is a larger grocery store and town a 10 minute drive away so we could easily subsist on local resources.
