Great place to stay, the room was excellent

Clean and compact room above the pub

Lack of noise insulation.

Comfortable large room with nice coffee/tea/biscuits. Good value and No extra charge for pets.

Easy to get to, good car parking, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who were kind and thoughtful. The pub is nice and full of friendly people. The room was fantastic. Not a speck of dust, shower was so clean it looked new, bed was very comfortable and the rug and bedding were clean - not a strand of stray hair or fluff. The welcome tray was well stocked and everything in the room worked. I'm a solo woman and I felt safe in the room, the door was secure and there was no noise in the night. I didn't hear any noise from the main road but ear plugs were provided.

The following only stood out because everything else was excellent. Keys were provided for two internal doors and one external door to the pub. This felt really safe and reassuring but when I checked out, I noticed the external door wasn't locked and it simply swung open. It might have been that staff were already on site though.

Location to the Drive your dads car venue was good. Room was warm, comfy bed and dog friendly is a bonus. Carpark at rear was good. very old building nicely refurbished room.
