Close to the beach

As soon as we pulled up to the caravan there was rubbish scattered around the entrance. We arrived at about 9:00pm where the was no toilet roll and the toilet light didn’t work. The general cleanliness of the caravan was disgraceful, dried blood on pillows, stains on sofas, carpets etc, kitchen utensils dirty and things left in the caravan from previous customers. The list goes on with what other things we weren’t impressed with.

Location was ideal.

The smoke alarm has been taken down. A serious fire safety issue (considering recent incident at nearby site), reported it to the owner - blamed previous people who had stayed. Although they are responsible for ensuring it’s up at all times. The Caravan smelt stale and fusty, marks on settees, carpets and mattress covers. Batteries didn’t work in the remote for the tv. Shower head broken. All reported during the stay in an attempt for the owner to put it right. No ownership at all. The owner tried to make money out of me by selling site passes that were cheaper to buy in person on site. To top all this off, despite trying to help the owner by improving conditions for other people, I left a jacket in a cupboard. I know I left it. I asked if she would be kind enough to post it out and I would pay for postage, of which was agreed. After weeks of chasing I was then told ‘it hadn’t been found’. To be clear - I hadn’t lost it… I had simply forgotten to take it out of a wardrobe. It was most definitely there, and it was found by the ‘cleaning team’ (said in the loosest of terms) but then it wasn’t found?! I have never written a negative review before, but after trying to support someone in their small business, to then have my generosity taken advantage of by having money made out of me (see other people’s reviews where she has done the same) and then have my belongings kept… I think the least I can do is prevent others from the same experience.

Great location. Good privacy. Literally about 5min walk to the beach and shops etc..

Found Dog Shit under every single bed in the caravan. Absolutely disgusting and so disappointed. I should’ve have to clean shit on my holiday. The beds and blankets had blood or shit stains on them so couldn’t be used. Only £5 for a wash at the laundrette so I don’t know why she hasn’t done that after me paying over £400 for a stay. We have a toddler aswel so not sleeping on a bed was sad and so bad as we had to sleep in the living room. Couldn’t contact through the messages on booking.com either! Cups and plates were all dirty with bits and food on them with no sponge in sight so obviously haven’t been washed properly. The shower was completely boiling and cannot get it to a warm or cool setting. Very unhygienic and wouldn’t recommend if you are clean person. Needs a deep clean that caravan.

I loved the lay out of the van and that there was a nice big box of beach toys and umbrella we could use

The side view and bushes at the side where a bit messy and there was some dumped rubbish near our van but van great
