De Yang House Sa Pa

Lovely traditional house in Ta Van village with helpful and friendly hosts. Yen speaks good English and it's easy to communicate with her over WhatsApp for anything. The heated blanket is a lifesaver during the colder months (January) as the house is exposed to the wind and cold at night. Factor in that you need to take transport to Sa Pa if you want to go there often (cheap enough with Grab taxi), though you can also hike or rent a scooter in Sa Pa if you prefer. The room upstairs can be a bit tricky to head to the bathroom in the night due to the stairs, but only if you have mobility issues. I was upgraded to a larger room for free which was nice. Would definitely recommend if you want a slightly more authentic village feel over the over-saturated tourist center of Sa Pa. Hikes and lovely local Hmong ladies right at your front door (who won't bother you too much to buy things after you tell them you're staying in Ta Van).

It's quite interesting to have such a peaceful place. Normally when I go to Sapa, I usually stay in hotels. This time, I was quite surprised by the neatness and cleanliness of the houses. It's great for the price.

It is very nice small house living in Ta Van village. It is really nice placr to visit! Next to alot of restauran aảound, easy to travel from here to place that you want to go. The host was super nice, they show us alot of palce that we can go and see the view. Highly recommend this place with all my heart.

It was fine. But when visiting when cold it is freezing, the walls are thin/ non-existent. The upper floor has walls made of curtains so light comes through very easily, and you can see in/ out of the room at the right angles. Additionally, after returning from 9pm at dinner and doing usual things like brushing teeth we were told we were being too loud as there is zero sound insulation

The hostess were very friendly, you can ask them everything and they will help you. the beds have an electric blanket to keep you warm at cold nights. That is also very nice! It helps you a lot! Thank you for the homestay!

Really friendly hosts with beautiful little doggos! The room was comfortable and the heated blanket was amazing as the house is open to the outside and cold. The location is perfect for doing some hiking which the owner can give you all the info for. She also helped with laundry and organised a car for us!

There is a cost to use the kitchen for cooking.
