The location is excellent

There are no curtains or blinds for the windows. In addition to that there are glass doors and a window in the ceiling. As a result there is light 24/7: at night there is light from the lamp in the yard, and around 6am it gets completely light in the room and you can’t sleep any more. This situation is very disturbing especially if you are jetlagged.

The location was great. It was a very nice area full of great shops, restaurants and bars (including a world top 50 bar - Bar Cham!) Not crowded or touristy, but within easy walking distance to sights like the Palace, Tongin markets and Hanok houses are nearby. Facilities were great and it’s great value. Will be back!

Where it was situated

When I came to check in at 4 pm the laundry was hanging to dry and no one had cleaned yet. It worked out in the end, and the host apologized. It wasn’t that clean. And on the last day the hot water stopped working, and we didn’t hear anything when we asked about it, so we couldn’t shower. All in all not the best experience.

The location is excellent - in terms of being close to restaurants and grocery shops and it is within walking distance from the entry to one of the must-visits of Seoul - Gyeongbokgung palce . The metro station with the same name is 700 metres from the accommodation and if you have suitcases with wheels it is absolutely no problem (you can also find elevator in the metro). The facilities in the accommodation are very practical - fridge, kettle, microwave, cups, cutlery. Both bedrooms had double beds which was very good for us. The communication with the host was easy and efficient and it was great to be able to enter with using passcode.

If you have big suitcases you will have to organise yourselves very efficiently because there are no cupboards, but this is all a minor thing.
