La Casina di Arceno - Chianti, Toscana

La Casina di Arceno is a fabulous tuscan farm house located in the heart of Tuscany, a 25minute drive from Siena and several minutes drive from Castelnuvo Berardenga (4 km) or San Gusmè (2 km). La Casina is part on the historical estate of Arceno, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and ancient cypress lanes. The cypress alley (200 years old) is really impressive. That home is in the open countryside, with stunning views on the Chianti hills. In La Casina – besides three a very nice terraces – there are three double bedrooms, three bathrooms (two of them have a shower and one of them – a bath; there is a bidet in every bathroom), large luminous living room with sofa bed (it is a extra place to sleep for two person), a well-equipped kitchen (with a gas stove and an electric oven, with a large fridge, freezer compartment, toaster, microwave oven and with doshwasher and kitchen tools). There is a private garden around the house. In this garden grow beautiful flowers and herbs (I am impressed by the magnificent rosemary) and a fabulously beautiful views of Chianti. The guests can also use the sesonal swimming pool (shared among several houses), which is located around 23 meters from the house. The price includes free parking for car, Wi-Fi, and complete set of bed linens, towels, dishwasher tablets, dishwashing liquid and a soap. Every guest feels special in this place, because the hosts (Liliane and Elie) are friendly people. It is worth noting that on the day of arrival, a surprise was waiting for us: a bottle of good wine, cereals, milk, cookies, pasta, tomato paste, water and fruit. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank the menager of this extraordinary facility, Mrs. Sabrina, who opens not only the door of that home for guests, but also the door of her heart. She is a wonderful, helpful and kind person, who makes guests feel safe and welcome. I hope that someday we will return to this paradise in Chianti!

It would be worth installing nets/mosquito nets on the windows (this is especially important in one bedroom upstairs, where there is no air conditioning). In this way the guests would be protect (at least to some extent :)) from insects, which - due to the agricultural nature of the region - are quite numerous and bothersome. And above all, mosquito nets would allow you to air the house without any worries on hot days.
