Barclay’s But n Ben

What a gem! We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night break in the most idyllic, tranquil location in this clean, well equipped property. We were greeted by the lovely hosts who made us feel instantly at home, giving great recommendations on places to visit. A selection of cakes were there to welcome us, as well as fresh eggs from the family's chickens, a lovely, much appreciated touch. The hot tub was beautifully clean and warm and made the holiday for our children. Thank you so much, we would love to come back.

Excellent accommodation. The owners couldn’t do anymore for us. So helpful and welcoming. Fresh eggs and cakes when we arrived! Everything you need at the But n Ben and great location for exploring.

What can I say but wow. We arrived on Xmas eve and left the day after boxing day. The location is stunning. We met the hosts who were really nice and helpful. They showed us around the cottage itself which is lovely. We had everything we could possibly need in the cottage. There was 6 of us in total and all had our own towels, and there was toiletries in the bathroom along with a hairdryer etc.The hot tub was amazing the ladies spent most of our time in there. Every morning the hosts would make sure it was ready for us. The animals on the farm were the cutest. From chickens 🐔 to pygmy goats 🐐. We had our dog with us and he was in his element. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook a christmas dinner and the table to sit and eat was huge and lovely. The hosts Had a lovely Xmas tree up for us arriving which made it feel so homely. The personalised touches that they added were just amazing. We had eggs from their chickens, lovely mince meat pies and a bottle of prosecco to welcome us, a welcome board with all our names on was also on the wall.It was honestly just amazing from start to finish and I will definitely be going back here at some point again.

From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Fresh eggs and baked pastries were an added bonus. Local shops a short drive away and the kitchen had everything we could have needed for home cooked meals. We were so lucky with the weather, sunny (but cold and frosty) days followed by nights of clear skies. Nothing better than sitting in the hot tub under the moon and stars! Garden was great too, perfect for our dogs as completely secure and could take them all the way from the front door to the garden in a secure fenced area. Thank you to Arlene for the walking recommendations, I didn't take any pictures of the accommodation, but the views from the walk were beautiful so have attached these instead. Will hopefully be back for another stay in the future, thank you again!

The location was amazing ideal for dogs they loved the long walks through all the fields. Hot tub was a bonus.
