"Sofia" Guest House-Hostel

Everything was great! Room was spacious and clean and comfortable. Bathroom was above and beyond with a heated tile floor! Location is really good. Host and family are warm and welcoming. I would absolutely stay there again.

It's run by a lovely family, the communication was always prompt and great. The nearby shashlik restaurant remained our favourite experience of the whole trip for it being so local and delicious. The guesthouse is in a quiet area, yet it's a short walk to Registan Square and everything else. We loved walking through the residential area, seeing the local life. It was one of the most well-equipped accommodation with a reading light/phone charger per bed, water dispenser, etc. Plus, one of the best breakfast - we loved the fried savoury parcel and gutted that we couldn't have them again the next day as we had to leave really early. Wanted to stay longer.

The location is good, inside the old town, and very quiet, so it’s a bless for a light-sleep person. The breakfast was so good. The plus was the family, they did help a lot, especially the last day I was about leaving for the train, but a marathon was going on which I didn’t know, the owner reminded me to leave earlier cuz some roads been blocked. luckily I made it eventually. Anyways, worthy staying!

The bathroom is very huge. The toilets are separated and have a water jet. the bathroom have different kind of jets. The pressure of hot water is good. The staff is very kind. The owner offers regularly tea or coffee. The breakfast is huge and good. The room is big. Internet connexion is good. we have access to drinking water that can be hot or cold. There is a fridge. The hostel is located at 15 minutes by foot from the Registan.

I loved everything. The room was spacious, since I was alone I used only one bed. Every bed has its own light and plugs. AC was great, wifi very good. The bathroom and toilet are separated, which is a very good point since it's a private room with 4 beds. The hotel is 10 minutes walk distance from registan. I had very good sleep, it's located in a quiet neighborhood. The family was so lovely, kind, and helpful. The owner speaks fluently english, so it was so easy to interact with him since I don't speak uzbek, unfortunately. His mum cooked the best breakfast since I was in Uzbekistan. It was so generous, I couldn't finish even if it was delicious. Breakfast was very diverse every day. If I come back to samarkand, I will definitely come back here.
