Villa le palme-Pool, garden, terrace & sea view

The villa is absolutely stunning, huge in scale and on a sublime plot overlooking the city and the sea. The view took our breath away everytime we stepped outside. There are many properties on the hill, but they are further away from the city. We enjoyed our 5 minute drive down to the city from the villa - the location was excellent. The rooms were large, and had plenty of bathrooms. There was parking for both of our cars and the pool was recently cleaned and fresh. We also appreciated that our neighbours were happy with us playing music by the pool and during our stay we were not bothered by the owners. It really is a special house!

The general feel of the holiday was that we really enjoyed ourselves and the house certainly made our trip memorable. Our only issues were that the kitchen utensils clearly hadn’t been used in a while and were sticky, and there were some out of date food jars and boxes left perhaps by previous guests. There was also only A/C in some of the rooms, but they provided fans which was okay for myself and some of the guests. Other than that, I definitely take away the positives, which there were lots of!

First of all Giada was an exceptional host. She treated us late in the evening and made sure a local restaurant stayed open for us to go down and have amazing pizza! She also called a cab for us since we had a large vehicle and didn’t want to manage it downtown our first night there. The location was great, beautiful view and easy to get to ferry to go see the Cinque Terre’s. The home was beautiful and set up in a great way where we could split up for the evening into separate quarters, and then join for breakfast and other meals in the main kitchen. We were traveling with a large family so it was nice to have separate apartments but be on same property.
