Le Stanze di Piazza Cairoli ligt op een goede uitvalsbasis om Pisa te verkennen. Het station is op loopafstand van het station en dichtbij een bushalte. Er is koffie/thee faciliteit maar geen ontbijt. De b&b eigenaar is erg aardig en behulpzaam.

De b&b is op de 3e verdieping en er is geen lift. Met veel bagage is dat even sjouwen. De eigenaar helpt wel daarbij. Het pleintje met cafe’s is ‘s avonds nog gezellig rumoerig

I highly recommend this place - the staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was buffet style and you could grab what you liked at your convenience.

Just a note for readers - understand that this accommodation does not have an elevator (as most old buildings in Italy) and it is very central so even though it has soundproof windows (very good) it still is central and some noises can be expected.

Great location and a bit of character.

It was perfect for a short stay/one nighter

The host was really friendly & very helpful, allowed us to leave our bags before check in. The room was very clean, we had a triple room with a balcony & lovely view. Shower was great & bed very comfortable. We stayed 5 nights with a fresh set of towels partway. Our room had a fridge & air con. Nice simple choice for breakfast with good coffee. There is a Breakfast area although we ate in our room, occasionally on the balcony! Location is perfect ….15 min easy walk from the train station and 15 mins the other direction to the leaning tower and surrounding the accommodation are lots of shops & cafes, bars & restaurants. The host gave us some restaurant recommendations, and we ate at one and the same block ‘Medici steakhouse’ and it was excellent food & service.

Nothing we didn’t like as such, but be aware this is a very old lovely, well renovated building on 3rd floor with no lift. About 60 steps so if you have mobility issues then cautious. Otherwise nothing negative to say!
