"Authentiek maar ook comfortabel en sfeervol"

10.0

"Fantastic authentic mayan experience"

10.0

Lovely sustainable hotel steeped in authentic mayan history. The owners really care about the environment and the best way to make little impact on the world. The Casa Maya was beautiful with comfortable beds. A unique experience, a short walk or taxi walk to the main sight of Izamal. There is a delicious breakfast available to purchase in the morning, and a tour explaining the rationale of the hotel and its history, and workshops with different activities.

Beware if you are really afraid of bugs, like crickets and grasshopers. The hotel is right on the edge of the jungle and the Mayan buildings are designed for a good climate and they weren't squeamish.
