Classical 3 bedroom, 2 bath, minutes from Royal Palace, Main Shopping Street, Restaurants & Downtown

Very centrally located – there’s a Joker supermarket right in front of the accommodation. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. Most importantly, the place is very clean and the host is extremely responsive.

There is no lift in the building. Not convenient for people who have a lot of luggages.

Great location, spacious living areas, quiet bedrooms . Close to transport and shopping.

Wrinkled sheets, not particularly clean. Limited towels on beds.

Excellent value for money

Nicely located in central Oslo, walking distance from most things. Really good bakery downstairs, and a small grocery store across the road. There is no parking, of course, but there is a very good parking lot (Frydenlund) only 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable, with a lot more character than you might expect. There is both a washer and dryer, and they worked well. The beds were comfortable.

Nothing. As other people have noted, check-in could have been smoother, but the owner did provide detailed instructions. Unfortunately, there are two entrances, one of which says 6A and the other says both 6A and 6B, and the key you pick up works for both. You want the one that only says 6A, immediately across from the grocery store. There is a photo in the instructions from the owner, but unfortunately both doors also look the same...

There were three of us on a ladies’ trip through Scandinavia and had a bit of luggage with us. We stayed three nights in the apartment. The best part of the stay was our host. Our communications with him was exceptional. He was friendly, patient, helpful, and responsive. I had to ask him for help with our taxi booking and he did not hesitate to assist. The apartment itself was beautiful with wonderfully high ceilings and doors. It looks as it does in the pictures. From what I understand, it was built in the late 1800s and has some period details, possibly a historic building. We loved that it was spacious for the three of us and our luggage, comfortable beds and couches, the second bathroom (it is a mini-bathroom and great to have), washer and dryer, and that the host had provided essential supplies for our stay. The middle bedroom is smaller and will work out great for a child or teen. The apartment was also across from a 24/7 convenience store, which was useful for us. It is also close to the tram stop and convenient to some major points of interest. The tram noise did not bother us at all, although that may be a consideration for some. Sometimes, you can hear late night revelers, but that did not bother us either. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!

We did not see any major red flags or deal-breakers. There are nice-to-haves, but nothing that adversely affected our stay. We had some difficulty with the key collection process and figuring out which apartment. I suggest some more clarity and specific instructions, maybe an online digital guide or a book of instructions, similar to what we’d seen in other bookings. Regarding key collection, the instructions from the host said to enter the PIN on a key pad but the cashier at Joker refused to let us do so and he was not nice or polite (although he may not speak English). The apartment did not have a sign on it, so I had to contact the host to make sure we had the right apartment. We did not know how to work the shower set-up, find the outlet in the bathroom, and was curious about the extra door in the far back bedroom (stairs leading to courtyard). The host very quickly and thoroughly answered our questions. The closet in the middle bedroom was the linen closet and filled with sheets and towels, so there was little space to put anything. I suggest a refresh of the towels (looking a bit worn), add some more towel hooks, and a couple of mirrors in the bedrooms that don’t have them. Otherwise, it was really a great stay!

Had very good communication with host throughout our stay: very responsive to our needs/request. Very clean facilities and well equipped with all basic needs. Towels and beddings are very clean. Had a wonderful time. Very highly recommended.
