Sandby House, Nottingham, parking sleeps 10

We didn’t get to go inside the property, however the street it is on is awful - dirty and lots of unsavoury people hanging around.

We were greeted by an extremely intoxicated foreign women who could barely speak English and was just shouting at us something about giving us a key to get in with a bottle of spirit that she was swigging from. A man then arrived who was shoving her and threw her into the house next door and slammed doors and all windows shut. There were children screaming and crying and we could hear them arguing. We left as we didn’t feel safe and we called the police. The people who left the property from the night before said it wasn’t safe and that they had items stolen when they had gone out

The bedrooms could be made into twin rooms and the beds were comfortable. The location was a short Uber ride into town.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean but a deep clean is needed as kitchen cupboards and walls needed wiping down. Some rugs had large stains on and the bins from previous tenants were left in the garden and gone rotten. The towels provided were small. It would be good to have hand soap provided in the bathrooms.

Nothing wasn’t clean

No sheets, no pillow cases, bedding was in loft with loft insulation. Used sanitary towel outside the back door. Beds full of black hairs. Toilet seat not the right one for toilet

The house was comfortable and ideal for what we wanted. A place where we could all stay together close to the town centre. If we didn't have those issues, I would have given it a 9. Minor issues to resolve, so don't let that put you off, but it just impacted our stay.

We asked for the beds to be split into twins on 3 separate occasions, but they weren't, so we had to do them ourselves. In one room, there wasn't enough bedding once the beds were split, so one of the boys had to sleep with no bed sheet on the bed. No Internet was a bit of a problem. You could connect, but it just didn't work. We had planned to watch the football and have a few drinks before going out, so not ideal. The lights in the dining room and kitchen didn't work. I assume the bulbs had gone.
