Cabin with a view in Hot Springs—walk to AT

Great Location and very good furnished cabin, the living room area was my favorite with the Couches and the tv. The cabin is very spacious and nice. The Hot tub is perfect to relax in the evening. In conclusion the cabin is furnished and decorated thoughtful and not just objects placed anywhere. I loved the stay and would definitely come again

2 things i noticed were the beds are a bit old and noisy and the mattresses were too soft for me. Other thing is in the kitchen if you’re cooking, the vent above the stove is a bit dirty and isn’t on his full functionality anymore, so it is a bit weak.

The feel was like being at home, very nice.

The mattress in back room was not comfortable at all.

The door lock battery was low & didn't want to work although we managed. I texted the owner and got the code to the back-up lockbox & used it after that. When we couldn't get the indoor fireplace working, they delivered some wood for the outdoor fire circle. That was nice. The hot tub was clean and wonderful (although the neighbor next door was pretty close where he parked his truck, which was slightly creepy).

The gas fireplace did not work and even after notifying the owner, the effort to repair it while we were there (notified day 1 of 5) didn't happen. A helper to the owner tried, got the pilot lit, but it didn't light the gas bar and the pilot went out, so we stopped messing with it. I was sad that the owner didn't seem to want to try harder for us... BUT this is a rebounding community so it was easy to cut everyone there some slack when things weren't perfect.

The location was fair, as it was close to downtown. It was not as described , however, as it was not secluded at all. There was a home to the right and behind the property.

Upon arrival, the code would not open the door. I contacted PJ, and the response time was fair. We waited outside for about half an hour before we made contact, and alternate entry instructions were provided. We entered the home, and it "appeared" clean at first glance. The furniture in the home is very old and worn. The cabin smelled musty and not that of a cabin recently cleaned. On the floors to the bedroom, there were long blonde hairs, and it appeared the floors must not have been cleaned thoroughly. Upon entering the master bedroom, one could smell the blankets were not freshly laundered. The sheets of the master bed had black hairs on them. The bed didn't smell clean. It was late when we arrived, and we were here for one night, so a discussion was accomplished between my husband and I if we should stay. We decided to tolerate the state of the cabin due to the late hour. We brought 2 pizzas and put them in the oven. Once they were cooked, we sat them on the stove to cool enough to eat..probably less than 10 min. The Utinsils were dirty, there were crumbs and food particles in the drawers, and the kitchen sink was visibly dirty with food and such on the sink. I went into the kitchen from the living room to cut the pizza, and cockroaches with large egg sacks attached to them were crawling on my food. I was extremely upset and had to throw away the food. I wanted to leave. However, my husband was very tired, so he went to bed. I contacted PJ and advised her of the issues we encountered as well as the roaches. The bugs were my major concern, as these german cockroaches can cause problems for children and adults with lung issues. I suffer from lung issues, so i definitely would not have been able to stay in this cabin very long. I sat up all night until the sun came up, and we left as soon as my husband awoke, without showers. We followed the rules for checkout and left. Pj was not apologetic, nor did she offer a resolution.

I’m a return visitor! This is my favorite get-a-way!

Everything, but the living room, claw foot tub, and hot tub are my faves!

The bathtub with the majestic view, the huge hot tub on the back deck facing the woods, and everything else about the cabin was glorious!!

Check in was so easy! Everything was very clean! The kitchen was stocked with all the basics you need! The cabin is spacious and cozy! It rained one night while we were there, it was so lovely relaxing in the hot tub listening to the rain hit the tin roof!
