Alojamiento en la calle 56 Playa del Carmen

I loved the location, it is central from my Playa preference, in the Colossio district, close to 30th avenue and easy access to the collectivos. If coming in after collectivo hours, it's a 40-50 pesos taxi from the centre. I love Punta Esmeralda beach and it's about a 15 min collectivo. Great cheap local food around. The apartment is very clean and lady Modesta was a lovely, responsive and easy going host. The apartment is equipped with all the basic necessities, the bed was comfortable. It isn't luxurious by any means but if you're a basic traveler. It's perfect. I would return without hesitation and even being my young daughter with me. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Would have liked having some basic cooking supplies like oil and some spices instead of having to go out to purchase when you won't use that amount for a short stay.

Super clean, very impressed by the cleanliness, AC was great, fan was awesome, kitchen and bathroon were great, WIFI worked great for work as well. SOLID spot. Location is a little far from Quinta but walkable.

Only thing I would say could be improved and its partially my fault is the keys and check-in, you need to communicate when you wil check in so she can meet you outside with keys.

Okay area, about 25-minute walk from the beach. The bed is comfortable enough.

The host didn't meet me; she sent her cleaner at the start. The accommodation itself is very beat up; there are no windows in any of the rooms except the bedroom, and the door between the kitchen and bedroom won't close. I ran out of gas a few days before the end of my stay, and they never replaced it. They say they have a TV, but you won't ever get it actually to function. The worst thing was the piles of extra costs they tried to add once I had arrived. I asked how much a change of linen would be, and they wanted more than it would cost to just replace them myself. Thankfully, there is a laundrette that will wash and dry for very little just around the corner. I also had a friend visit for a day, and they tried to double the cost of almost my whole stay. They are very dishonest, not even worth paying for at a discount, and pushy, aggressive hosts that threaten to call the police if you don't pay their extortion.
