OASIS BAY SUITES, Tampa, Busch Gardens, USF

The proximity to Busch Gardens was a plus. The uniqueness of it being like an inward facing motel was certainly interesting. The pool & breakfast buffet were nice.

The shuttle to the park was not running due to vehicle maintenance & nothing was said ahead of time. No copensation was given for rideshare to/from the park, even after doing what was asked to do by hotel staff. Roach was found in the bathroom, may have gotten in by alternative means, but still... a roach.

The pool was scenic and having an attached restaurant and bar were positives.

Claiming this hotel as a 4-star hotel as it’s listed is incredibly ingenuous. It absolutely gives the feel of a converted motel, especially since it’s one of the few “hotels” in the immediate area around it, which is surrounded by abandoned motels. On top of that, I was greeted to a room absolutely filled with lovebugs top to bottom, so many I actually had to request a room chance, only to receive my new room that was only marginally less filled with lovebugs. The entry doors to the rooms in this hotel have no rubber track on the bottoms to seal them from the outside, and instead are wide open and allow every single bug to come in easier than ever. Combining every negative listed above, this hotel was also more expensive than an actual reputable hotel chain (Marriot, Holiday Inn, etc.) which I would have been much better going with instead.

This will be my got to place when in tampa this place did not let me down in anyway. The staff was very nice the place was clean the pool was nice good breakfast and the shuttle service for busch gardens was amazing all they way around amazing place
