Blas at Fronlas Café - The heart of Newport

Owners very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Spotlessly clean and excellent breakfast.

From the minute we arrived until the moment we left the whole experience at Blas was exceptional. The hosts at the property were so friendly and welcoming. The room was so cosy and beautifully decorated with everything you would need. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked and served in the downstairs bistro cafe. The Fronlas cafe itself is fabulous! It has a lovely warm and cosy atmosphere with super friendly staff and it serves amazing food. We had a fabulous 2 night stay at Blas and the village of Newport is a hidden gem of a place. The locals are so friendly and the village has a lovely feel to it. The coastal walks and views of the Pembrokeshire coast are amazing. We plan to return soon for sure!

We loved everything about the room which was comfortable & cosy with modern features, a gorgeous view & a super comfy bed. We loved the team there - Martina, Christina & Jason & all the staff in the cafè. Everyone was so friendly & helpful & kind. It truly was fantastic. We loved the location - beside the coastal path & with some funky shops & great places to eat.

Nothing! While there’s no onsite parking, it was easy enough to park & pay in the town car park.

A perfect place to stay in a town I often visit for dog walks on the coast path and in the surrounding countryside. From a warm welcome on arrival and all through our 4 day stay we had great meals and service, all staff very friendly and our room very cozy and comfy. Just ideal for my spaniel Peggy and myself.

The reception we received from our hosts was exceptional, we were greeted like old friends and despite protestations from us, and the cafe being very busy at the time of our arrival, Martina and her staff insisted on carrying our luggage to our rooms, answering any questions that we had and making us feel most welcome. The rooms are very tastefully furnished and impeccably clean. Despite us being just bed and breakfast guests we were able to use a lovely sitting area within the cafe even though the actual cafe was closed in the afternoon to the general public. Had the weather been kinder we would have had the use of the outdoor courtyard area as well. The breakfast was superb with a variety of choices on offer although had we been staying longer I would have liked the choice of a continental breakfast. Having said that had I asked then I am absolutely sure that it would have been provided.
