Heated Pool! Paradise in Midtown Tampa 3B2B

The home is cute and the pool was fantastic. Beds were very comfortable. Host was fast and responsive when we had a question.

It was a strange choice to have a full sized ceiling fan in the bathroom, but no fans anywhere else in the house. Florida is hot and we like a fan at night. There were oscillating fans in the closets. Also there were many roaches, dead and alive. I understand it’s Florida and they abound but it was unsettling.

Pool nice size, living room was comfortable. Outside area spacious. Had plenty of spices and dinnerware. All cookware utensils you need for cooking were available. Area was quiet. Everything you need was near restaurants, groceries, gas station down the block. Landscape was nice. It poured and it was nice to be able to be outside in the back pool balcony. Many pool floaties to use. AC works well. Parking space good for two vehicles. Plenty of stocked TP. Plenty of towels available. Plenty of seating area to relax by the pool.

Bedding linen was dingy and sheets had spots. No handsoap had to go buy supplies. There was a used bath liquid soap in the shower and it was watered down. Pillows on couch very dirty and smelled awful, needs to be washed or replace them. Garbage cans were full when arrived, a challenge to place garbage in them. Couches need deep cleaning they have a smell.. The grill was terribly dirty there was too much gunk to clean off scared to put meat on it we used double sheets of aluminum foil then after making hot dogs propane ran out and we had to go purchase one but we did leave for the next renters to have. The grill scraper was over used didn't do its' purpose. Overall better deep cleaning on those mentioned and it's good to go.

Everything about this property was great! Plenty of space for the whole family inside and outside. Several stores including Walmart are right down the road. Close to the cruise ports as well.

The property is in the ideal location for everything close to the 275 for access to Busch Gardens and near to Walmart and plenty of places to eat. The kitchen is spacious as is the rest of the property and the pool area is secluded and again spacious. Check in and out was super easy and there is a great garage space with a washer drier and space to store suitcases etc save them being in the wardrobe. The beds are super comfortable and we had a great 16 night stay as far as sleeping was concerned for 5 guests. Parking is easy enough and the electronic lock was added security. The neighbours are super friendly and helpful and even sent an additional pool float around for the children. There is plenty of kitchen kit for cooking and a great sized fridge freezer. The dishwasher can be a little temperamental but we mastered it by the time we left. The sofa in the lounge area was a hit with the kids having a recliner and doubled as an extra bed which was handy.

As a fair review I would state that if your expectations are realistic then this is a great villa. However, on arrival the house smelled awful and wasn’t the cleanest. Having stayed in so many properties in Florida this didn’t phase us too much and with a vacuum and mop and an air fresher from Walmart it was easily fixed. The property does need a little TLC and is a little rough around the edges but it was comfortable and didn’t detract from our stay particularly although wasn’t entirely up the standard considering the cost. As others have said there aren’t enough towels but again for $5 at Walmart easily fixed. The only significant issue we had was the pool heater which again we didn’t expect to be a sauna but the timer seems to be on really early in the morning and off by lunchtime which means the pool is cold and the filter isn’t running for the rest of the day. This wasn’t too much of a major issue but when advertised with a heated pool this timer set up could do with fixing. But as I mentioned we had a great stay and would consider this again in the future.

Great location, pool was nice. The master bedroom bed was pretty comfortable, especially since we are used to tempurpedic beds.

1st serious situation was the back glass patio door lock was broken, so we found a broom that we used to lock the door at the bottom. 2nd The AC unit went out on our stay, the 2nd night. AC men came the next day in the afternoon and fixed the issue. One of the AC issues was that the AC unit filter probably had not been changed in a year or longer. I took pictures of it all. Two chairs in the home legs were broken. One in the 1st bedroom to the right other chair in the living room with glass door leading out to the patio. Also, the dishwasher had standing water inside of it that was not draining properly. Also, since the main bathroom did not drain properly, it needs a plumber ASAP.

Only issue was the pool lights weren't working. So we couldn't go swimming at night

It was nice and spacious for us all to relax. The pool was really nice.
