Seaside Bliss - Period Home, Games Room, Pool Table, Arcade Machine

Great location, time are lovely, great decor.

The decor of the lounge was quite nice but far too small for the numbers the house is being marketed as holding.

This was by far the worst experience we've ever had in all our years of going away (I'm 52). The hosts are awful people who falsely accused us of smoking drugs on the premises. We'd let them know we had vacated the property a night before we were due to as a courtesy to them. We'd left the place clean, smoke free (since no one smokes in our family) and stripped all the beds. However, when we got home I got a message saying they were taking £300 out of our account to pay for fumigating the house after we'd been smoking drugs there. Nothing we said to them made any difference and they took the £300 without listening to anything we had to say in our defence. We were guilty in their eyes no matter what we said. Even before this happened we'd made the best of a bad place so it's hard to know where to start in terms of explaining why we would never return even if the owners were nice people. Firstly this is clever marketing of a property. It's close to the sea but the house essentially looks over a block of tatty flats and their car park. It's squashed between two larger properties and unless you knew it was there you wouldn't realise there was a house in the middle of two bigger ones. The sheets were stained and had dog hairs on so my husband had to clean ours on arrival. The shutters fell onto our eldest daughter with no apology from the owners - they were more worried about their place than if my daughter was hurt or not. The kitchen is tiny and if you extend the table as they suggest, to fit around the amount who can sleep at the house - there's no room to walk around. The hot tub fills the only patch of garden so even though its dog friendly there's nowhere apart from out the front, when you're onto a path and close to a road, to take the dogs last thing at night. The false accusations have put us off using booking.com ever again.

Our team stopped at the property and couldn't speak highly enough of it. The décor, cleanliness and location was brilliant. The communication from Jamie was brilliant and the best we've had in all the time we've booked accommodation through booking.com. Right from the very beginning they contacted us to make sure we had all the check in details needed to access the property and throughout the stay checked we had everything we need. We will definitely stay again while working int he area. Thank you for a pleasant experience both booking and staying with yourselves.

Our stay here was fantastic, we felt very lucky to be the first people to stay here. The house has just been renovated and been decorated beautifully. The beds were super comfy and the pillows were like clouds. We enjoyed dips in the hot tub and drinks in the lovely lounge. The games room was a lot of fun and brought out the competitiveness in our friends! The hosts were amazing. Very attentive and quick to answer any questions. The location was great, so close to the beach for morning walks and a very quick walk into the old town. Would highly recommend staying here.

Only that we couldn't stay longer!
