Villa Art Gecko - Tropical 2BR Private Haven in Batu Belig, Seminyak

Everything, the staff were useless and the villas were flooded every day because the roofs leak, making the tiles slippery, had several falls. Very dangerous. all the doors were broken and wouldn't close. There were too many insects and ants we couldn't use the cooking facilities. They spent a whole day at our villa, bringing 3 different maintenance workers. When we requested cleaning to be after we go out say 11 am for a example they would pick there own time and come hours earlier when we wanted to sleep. .

The pool area and living room were really nice. The bedroom and kitchen were quite basic and it would have been nice to have had a tv in the bedrooms.

It was further than expected from the main part of seminyak. The kitchen equipment was basic. Would be nice to have tomato ketchup and condiments in the kitchen. Coffee and sugar were never topped up in 6 days. The power blew the first night and it took them a few hours to rectify meaning we then missed going out for dinner that night and so we didn’t eat dinner when we had arrived at 9ish at night and thought we woujd go straight out for dinner. I think we should get a slight refund for the inconvenience of this. I think the Villa was expensive for what it was, having stayed in villas in seminyak previously. I have never complained about a holiday either so this shows you for the price that I was a little disappointed.

We simply liked the Villa itself with the open living room facing the garden and pool. 2 additional separate bedrooms with private bathrooms allowed additional privacy. The staff was very helpful and immediately available to help with a short power outage after heavy rains or to help with the provision of fresh coconuts or a small snack.

Heavy rains in recent months have brought a lot of moisture into the building. A bit more maintenance would be beneficial here. It would be a pity for this beautiful place.
