Salty Heart - Surf House

Stayed at Salty Heart - Surf House and absolutely loved it 🤍 The place is run by a lovely German girl, and you can really feel that everything here is made with love and care. It has such a cozy, homey vibe — I felt comfortable from the first moment. The rooms are clean, the atmosphere is super chill, and it’s just one of those places you don’t want to leave. Also, there’s great coffee and delicious food downstairs, which makes it even better. Highly recommend if you’re staying in Weligama ✨

Die Matratze war sehr unbequem mit deutlich spürbaren Federn, der Gemeinschaftsbereich könnte etwas einladen der sein um es weniger "anonym" zu machen.

Ganz tolle Unterkunft. Nah am Strand gelegen. Durch die Lage in einer Seitenstraße sehr ruhig. Sehr sauberes Zimmer und sehr nettes Personal 😊

We loved our stay at Salty Heart. The host was very kind and helpful, she also makes a great coffee! A cute and well behaved dog and cat also call Salty Heart home. We booked a package through Salty Heart for surf lessons and yoga- both were great. Would highly recommend for a stay in Weligama!

There was no hot water for showers- not really a problem when it’s so hot, but just something to be aware of. It was noisy at night on the weekends because there is a club nearby, but I think anyone staying within a block radius would say the same.

The Salty House is in a very good location for Welingama: beach, good restaurants and the supermarket closeby, even though the house is is a quiet street, to avoid the main road noise. There is a common kitchen (with everything and well maintened and clean!) to cook something in case once you are fed up of rice and curry! ;) The room was as I expected: there was soap, shampoo and bath gel, AC and ventilation, towels and a perch to hang clothes. Veronika is an incredible host: always ready to help, available to assist and very friendly! Thanks for the hospitality, as you know, I would have stayed longer ;)

Perfect location - just 3 min walk to the main surf spot and many restaurants/cafes around - Clean and comfy rooms, nice common area, fridge and kitchen if you wanna cook. Great wifi as well and very friendly staff!! Came for 5 days, ended up staying 10 🤟🏼

Great friendly place who kindly let us check in early and stay in the room the next day until our train, which was much appreciated. Clean room, good hot shower, good air conditioning, quiet location but just 5 minutes from the beach and close to several nice eateries. Fridge and kitchen area available. Lovely relaxed and welcoming vibe.
