There wasn’t much to like. Very limited selection of supplies, e.g. only a half a jar of coffee and some sugar. No milk, couldn’t find any condiments.

Oven didn’t work, bathroom light was too dim, different floor levels made it very easy to trip over, beds were uncomfortable and certainly mattresses need replacing, no guest information was provided e.g. something simple like recommendations of places to eat, kitchen items were lacking, the layout of the space was unusual but the bathroom being behind a curtain was very strange. Parking space was limited as was the narrow drive way. Sorry to be so negative but for the price this was not value for money.

We stayed in this Johnsonville accommodation for four nights. Pros: * Comfortable beds. *Nice quality, clean bed linen. *Accommodation was clean throughout. *All white goods were new. *Good location for access to Johnsonville and Wellington. *When we encountered a problem with sewage and other unpleasant smells the property owner responded quickly to our concerns and arranged for a plumber to call the next morning to deal with the problem.

Cons: The configuration of the accommodation means that the bathroom and toilet form a 'corridor' between the kitchen and the living room. You have to walk through the bathroom to get from one side of the accommodation to the other. There is a curtain in place to screen the shower and toilet from view and there are doors from the kitchen and the living room that can be closed when using the bathroom. Not an ideal arrangement and one we have never encountered before. The left hand sliding door on the patio doors in the living room is faulty and sticks and comes out of its runners when trying to close it. This is a security risk as even when locked the doors are not properly secured. The biggest problem that we encountered was an unpleasant odour in the living room. It was a sour, spicy smell and appeared to emanate from the carpet. Air deodoriser did nothing to help and the smell was quite overpowering. The owner is aware of the problem and is going to address the issue by having the carpet cleaned.

Passion-Fruit Mango body scrub provided was very good and smelled divine. Location close to Wellington CBD was good.

No internet for duration of stay! Owner should have ensured it was working prior to arrival. Oven and vaccum cleaner did not work. Toaster was rusty. Washing machine was not clean, so did not use either. Towels were grey rather than white that you find almost everywhere else.

It’s ok for an overnight stay. Easy self check-in. The beds are clean and comfortable.

There was no milk in the fridge and the oven needs to be cleaned.
