Sentimental and Homely 3-bed Home in Lincoln by Renzo, Amazing Location, Close to Cathedral and Castle!

Why wasn't it listed on the description that the property is up a massive steep hill. Seriously DO NOT book this property if you cannot climb steep hills.. Also the place needs a bloody good clean... And again the layout of the property is stairs,, stairs and more stairs.... 3 levels

The location was great.

Arrived Xmas Eve and the heating and hot water didn’t work. No one was available to come out and fix. Had to find another place to stay that evening. Xmas day we were told the issue was fixed, but it wasn’t. Some hot water but no heating. No one could come out on Boxing Day. Issue fixed on the 27th. However, lowest floor didn’t stay warm. Hoover still full from previous clean and left out. Disposable vape on display in the bathroom from previous occupant, drinks bottles in first floor bedroom from someone, one teaspoon available to use, one toilet brush for two toilets, and no blind in the main bathroom. The sofa was knackered, the mattresses really need updating unless you like the feeling of springs, we had to buy heaters to keep the house warm for three days. I will accept this they fixed the issue, but was told that they did not tell us to buy heaters, how else to keep warm, and whilst offered a full refund so we could find somewhere else to stay, it’s a bit rich saying that when it’s Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, Boxing Day, and all other places to house a family of four are either booked out overpriced. We were refunded for two days stay.

The property was very clean and tidy. It was quite spacious for us as it had three bedrooms and there was only myself and my wife. It had most of the facilities we wanted including wi-fi and a 'smart' TV with several additional packages like Netflix.

We made quite a late booking but no contact was made until I requested instructions as to getting the keys. The response requested some on-line form filling and we were quite late in getting entry instructions. There were also videos with instructions on various aspects of the property but we only managed to watch one before we left to travel to Lincoln. Generally, I thought too much was only on-line and instructions at the property would have been useful. We had a problem switching on the cooker hob rings and were sent a video which omitted to tell us we needed to have the oven switch on. This switch was beside the oven but nowhere near to the hob. In the end we noticed the hob worked, only after stitching on to also use the oven. There was only one saucepan available which was insufficient for the property. A corkscrew and an oven-glove would have been useful too, but otherwise the kitchen facilities were OK. We also found the sofa to watch TV a bit uncomfortable and also the bed we chose was a bit uncomfortable.
