Parque Santiago II studio 404 by Tenerife Rental

The apartment is very central, great location, bed extremely comfy, lovely shower and great balcony for people watching. Lovely big pool with great pool bar, very friendly staff.

Apartment in need of another mirror and or more electrical sockets, one on the opposite side of bed and one in or nearer the bathroom. There is also a fee for the sun loungers, mattress and umbrella, booking.com never mentioned it or i never seen. We were £10 for two beds and two mattresses, it all adds up if you want to use the pool every day can add quite a bit onto your holiday.

Compacted but nice

Good location, near the beach and places to eat. The person of contact was nice and changed the room after we spoke about the issues.

The room had a bad moldy smell coming from the wall behind the bed and the big yellow stain that indicated a water leak was still there after a month from the incident (indicated by another traveler). The smell and the air there were bad, even more for asmathics. We double checked before our stay to see if everything is repaired and the person we spoke with said it was, but clearly not. The paint from the ceiling of the bathroom was also a problem as it came down on the floor, mat and our hears in the time we had a shower after arrival. Also the doors from the balcony couldn't be properly closed. This review is only about the studio 404. After we spoke with the person of contact, we got an upgrade from the studio to an apartment and we could enjoy the vacation.

The location was the only good thing about this accommodation. You could only obtain the apartment keys using a code, but first, you needed the main keys that open the building. Once you found those keys and accessed them with the code, you had to locate the apartment and use another code to access the apartment keys. It was quite a puzzle, especially when you're new to the location and there's no one to assist you. When we entered the apartment, we noticed that the entire wall where the bed was located was completely wet. There was also a leak in the bathroom. Due to the moisture on the walls, the ceiling above the bed was peeling, and the plaster was falling onto the bed. I alerted the apartment owner about all this, but he just said they were aware of the issue and asked me not to make a bigger deal out of it as it already is. I should mention that due to the wet wall, a picture fell off and fortunately, it happened when we weren't in the apartment, as the picture was directly above the bed where we slept. I believe it was extremely irresponsible of the owner not to inform us about the leakage issue in the apartment before our trip and suggest that we find alternative accommodation. It was definitely my worst experience with an apartment owner so far. Furthermore, they entered the apartment while we were not there. They came and took the fallen picture while we were at the beach. They didn't even mention that they would be coming to the apartment or ask if we were home for them to stop by. They simply entered the apartment, where our belongings were, without prior notice, and even when they were inside the apartment during our absence, they didn't mention it, apologize, or inform us in any way. Complete disregard for privacy.

The apartment was clean with all you need for a short stay. The wifi on site worked perfect. The place is quiet, no noise while sleeping with open windows.

The heater for hot water can be fixed or improved, took few minutes to get hot water running.
